What is our world coming to? Our politicians lie to us, in fact Governments all over the world blatantly lie to their people, and they no longer have the grace to get embarrassed about it when they are found out. They just shrug it off and move along to the next thing on their personal a gender. If we were caught lying to our Governments, we would find ourselves in jail so fast our heads would spin. Governments the world over do not even pretend to care about the people any more. All they are interested in is how much can they get for themselves personally while they are in power, and how they can get re-elected next term. The only option (we the people have) is to vote them out at the next election and vote in a fresh bunch of liars. We also know that the only reason they are there is what is in it for them and not the country. I feel that it really is a sad time for us all. I am now 67 years old and have witnessed the situation getting worse the world over all of my life. We have now reached the state that in more and more countries the Governments refuse to leave office even when voted out. They like to call themselves Public Servants, when it really is a bad case of the tail wagging the dog. I feel that it is largely our own fault for tolerating their behaviour, as our silence is taken for consent of what they are doing to us.
